Daniel J. Griffin

Daniel J. Griffin, 78, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Iowa City.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. 

Daniel Joseph Griffin was born June 4, 1946, in Moline, the son of Floyd and Marilyn (Myers) Griffin. He graduated from Moline High School and went on to work for Parr Instrument Company until retiring in 2005. 

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He also was a collector of slot machines, phonographs and gas pumps. He spent time at car shows showing off his 1934 Chevy Cabriolet. 

Dan is survived by his loving companion of over 19 years, and fiancé, Lisa Nelson, and her family, and his daughter and son-in-law, Jody (Matthew) Miller, and their family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judith Scott; and his beloved buddy, Annie.
