Daniel A. "Big Dan" Hansen, 64, of East Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, April 23, 2015, in his home.

Cremation has taken place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois. Graveside services are Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery, where Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 299 will present military honors. Those attending should meet at Trimble Funeral Home, 701 12th Street, Moline, before 12:00 Noon to process to the cemetery.

He was born March 9, 1951, in Davenport, Iowa, to Arthur and Aleda (Potter) Hansen. He married Heather Scott on February 23, 1995, in Davenport. He was a cook at St. Ambrose University for 5 years, and previously was head cook at KFC in Davenport for seven years. He enjoyed fishing, pool, darts, singing and art.

Dan is survived by his wife, Heather; his mother, Aleda Allison of Davenport; children, Mariah Hansen, Daniel A. Hansen, Jr., and Katie Scott; step-children, Amanda Scott and Jennifer Jones; and four grandchildren.
