Dale J. Maszk, 70, of Savanna, Illinois, died Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at ManorCare Health Services, Davenport, Iowa.
Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
He was born December 16, 1949, in Grafton, North Dakota, the son of Daniel and Bernice (Frederick) Maszk. He gradeuated from high school in 1967 and went on to earn his business degree. He married Kathleen Houston, with whom he had a daughter before divorcing in 1986.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed collecting coins, gardening, fishing, shopping from home, and Old Milwaukee. He also loved hunting for morel mushrooms, playing solitaire, and spending time with his family. He was determined to beat cancer and he won!
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Megan and Anthony Garibay of Savanna; three grandchildren, Alysia, Kylee and Kaleb Garibay; two brothers, Paul Maszk and Brian (Mary) Maszk, both of Mt. Carroll; and a nephew, Joseph Maszk. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Joyce Gerszewski.
