Dale D. Olson, 91, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, in the Emergency Room at Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, Davenport, Iowa.
Graveside services are 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.
Dale Danesberry Olson was born February 4, 1919, in Moline, the son of Edward and Clara Wyatt Olson. He graduated from Ohio State University, and served in the U. S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during WW II. He married Margaret Payton on December 17, 1944, in Washington, DC. She died September 23, 2007. He was a contract analyst at the Rock Island Arsenal for 20 years, retiring in 1981.
Dale is survived by two children, Barbara Herrarte of Rock Island, and Richard Olson of Bettendorf? and two granddaughters, Christinne Aguilar and Caroline Simkowski.
