Robert A. Mirk, 79, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, January 29, 2012, at Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.
Private family services will be held, with burial in Rock Island National Cemetery. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Robert Alan Mirk was born July 28, 1932, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Harold and Mabel Sederquist Mirk. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He married Beverly Cruzen Morgan in 1972, and the couple were later divorced. He was a custodian at St. Luke?s Hospital, Davenport, Iowa.
Bob is survived by two step-children, Dale Morgan of Rochester Hills, Michigan, and Peggy Morgan of Rock Island; and a step-granddaughter, Jennifer Morgan. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
