Craig Allen Chehak was born December 13, 1956, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Alfred and Sally Ann (Kuehl) Chehak. He graduated from Central High School. He married Karen Swanson and the couple was married for 20 years before separating. From that union came the most important thing in Craig’s life, his daughter, Kelsey.
He worked for Airgas in Davenport as a truck driver for many years, retiring in May of 2022. He was a jack of all trades and an absolute sports fanatic. He was an avid fan of all Chicago sports teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and spent a lot of time at Quad City Mallards games with his daughter.
Craig is survived by his beloved daughter, Kelsey Chehak of Seattle, Washington; his significant other, Melody Proctor, her daughters, Carrie Hicks and Jessi Proctor, and her grandchildren, Xavier and Camilla; siblings, Michael Chehak, Andrew Chehak, Cindy Paulson, Brenda McKern, and Tina Dunahoo; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jodee Rissman.
