On Sunday, December 2, 2007, Consuelo Palma, 61, of West New York, New Jersey, was called home to be with her Father after fighting a long battle with health issues. She died in Palisades Medical Center, West Bergen, New Jersey.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities, Moline, with The Reverend Tim Bowman officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
She was born January 18, 1946, in Nicaragua, grew up in Honduras, and later imigrated to the United States where she lived in New Orleans and New York City.
She is survived by two sons, Cesar Vargas with whom she lived, and Carlos Palma of Honduras; brothers, Jose Palma of Moline and Alfredo Palma, Armando Palma, and Justo Palma, all of Honduras; sisters, Yolanda Torres of Moline and Sofia Palma of Honduras; and several nieces and nephews and their families in the United States and Honduras. She was preceded in death by her parents, Justo Palma-Martinez and Bernarda Torres and brothers, Carlos Torres, Santo Torres and Antonio Palma.
