Connie L. Smith

Connie L. Smith, 72, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehab, East Moline, Illinois.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Connie Lynn Smith was born December 21, 1951, in Concord, North Carolina, the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Mewton) Gunnerson. She was an artist. She enjoyed painting, sculpting and jewelry making. She had a heart full of love for animals and was a unique soul indeed. 

She is survived by her sister, Teresa Inskeep; her brother John Gunnerson; her niece, Jennifer Inskeep; and her nephew, Ryan Inskeep. She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Gunnerson; her mother, Helen Gunnerson; and her brother, Stan Gunnerson.
