Connie Gray

Connie Gray, 87, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Sunday, November 22, 2015, in UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, Illinois.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Robert R. Jones Library, Coal Valley, or Western District Library, Orion.

Connie Lou Cunningham was born October 13, 1928, in Adams County, Illinois, to Howard and Helen Cunningham. She married Richard Ernest Gray on April 25, 1948, in Quincy, Illinois. He died February 19, 2007. She was employed at Western District Library, Orion, for several years. The most important thing in her life was her family; she also enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading, and baking.

Connie is survived by five children and their spouses, Rick and Bernice Gray of Senoia, Georgia, Kathy and David Harris of Orion, Susan Gray and John Warren of Macomb, Illinois, David Gray of Barnhart, Missouri, and Brian and Jen Gray of Coal Valley; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
