Clifford E. Temple

Moline, Illinois Services for Clifford E. Temple, 70, of Independence, Missouri, formerly of Moline, are 3 p.m. Wednesday at Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Temple died Thursday, July 11, 2002, in Independence Regional Health Care Center. He was born September 29, 1931, in Moline, the son of Everett and Clara (Heeren) Temple. He married Barbara Nitz on October 16, 1954, in Joslin, Illinois. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired as an inspector from Case International Harvester in 1991. He was a member of American Legion Post #499 and 40 & 8 Voiture Trois, both in Blue Springs, Missouri, Silvis Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Moline. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Vera Temple of Moline; daughters and a son-in-law, Dianna J. Jefferson of Osco, Illinois, Deborah B. Delf of Davenport, Iowa, and Denise and Pat Lang of Odessa, Missouri; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Betty Temple of Moline; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marilyn Ever of Hillsdale, Illinois, and Shirley and Pete Rebout of Kewanee, Illinois.
