Christopher T. Gillespie

Christopher T. Gillespie, 67, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Genesis Medical Center East, Davenport, Iowa.

A gathering to celebrate Chris’ life will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 23, 2020, at Luther Heights in Bettendorf. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities. Burial will take place in Exline Cemetery, Exline, Iowa, at a later date.

Christopher Thure Gillespie was born December 1, 1952, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of Charles and Patricia (Dooley) Gillespie. He married Edna Wilson on January 7, 2008, in Knoxville, Iowa.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; a daughter, Lacadia Gillespie of Davenport; two grandchildren; siblings, Kim (Linda) Gillespie of Davenport, Charles (Diana) Gillespie of Exline, Penny Sorensen of Kansas City, Missouri, Rick (Rhonda) Gillespie of Davenport, Holli (Kenneth) Long of Milan, Illinois, and Phillip Gillespie of Kansas City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
