Christopher M. Alstedt

Christopher M. Alstedt, 29, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Sunday, February 9, 2014, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois, from injuries he received in a snowmobiling accident.

There will be a visitation and gathering of family and friends from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014, followed by a Time of Sharing at 7:30 p.m., in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley. Memorials may be made to the Christopher Alstedt Memorial Fund, for a memorial to be determined later.

Christopher Michael Alstedt was born June 29, 1984, in Silvis, Illinois, the son of Jerry and Melodee (Kehr) Alstedt. He graduated from Orion High School in 2002, and was a shift supervisor at Darling International, Lynn Center, Illinois. He enjoyed snowmobiling, golfing, and working on demolition derby cars.

Chris is survived by his parents, Melodee and Jerry Alstedt; his sister and brother-in-law, Michele and Brad Marshall; nieces and nephew, Haley, Jordan, and Isabella Marshall, all of Coal Valley; his extended family; and many great friends.
