Christian N. Rex

Christian N. Rex, 25, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in the emergency room at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, Illinois.

A visitation and gathering of friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, in CityView Room on the lower level of Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. A time of sharing will follow at 5 p.m. Please enter from the North parking lot on the lower level. A memorial fund will be established for his children.

Christian Nicholas Rex was born August 20, 1996, in Chicago, Illinois to Phillip and Aimee Rex Johnston. He worked at Tyson Foods in Joslin, Illinois. He loved spending his free time with his family, and enjoyed a good joke and playing video games and music.

Chris is survived by his mother, Aimee Johnston of Daytona Beach, Florida; his father, Phillip Johnston of Coal Valley, Illinois; his girlfriend, Caela Williams of Rock Island; his daughter and her mother, Raelynn Rex and Taylor Fleming; and a daughter, Iyame Rex who is lovingly expected in November. He is also survived by grandparents, Dianna Lefebvre of Pontiac, Illinois, Paul Blangin of Coal Valley, and Ronald Rex of Greenville, Kentucky; and aunts and an uncle, Katlyn Rex of Greenville, Raven Rex of Chicago, Michaelina Rodde of Plainfield, Illinois, Paulette Tovo of Monee, Illinois, and Mark Campbell of Indiana.
