Cheryl R. Cowan

Cheryl R. Cowan, 48, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Wednesday, August 17, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City, Iowa.

Services are at Noon on Friday, August 26, at Harvest Time Family Worship, 636 Kirkwood Blvd, Davenport. Prior to services, cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.

She was born May 20, 1968, in Rock Island, to Tinnie M. (Hearn) and Robert L. Beason Sr. She married Russell Cowan. She was a C.N.A., most recently for Midsouth Health & Rehabilitation in Memphis, Tennessee, before retiring due to illness.

Cheryl leaves behind three children, Shataria Beason of Moline, Ratiya Beason of East Moline, and Maurice Cowan of Rock Island; eight grandchildren; her paternal grandmother, Elnora Beason of Memphis; siblings, Debra Beason of Virginia, Gwen and Camessa Beason of Rock Island, and Tina Beason of Davenport, David (Kimberly) Hearn, Sr. of Rock Island, Chuck Beason of Rock Island, Robert L. (Yolanda) Beason Jr. of Davenport, and Rodney (Trinda) Beason of Davenport; nieces and nephews, including Gregory Irving, Sr. of Rock Island, Darrius and Jermile Irving, both of Davenport, Darrien Irving of Rock Island, and Dondre Irving of Davenport, all of whom she raised; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Sr. and Tinnie Beason; a son, Russell Cowan, Jr.; a daughter, Tiara Beason; and siblings, Linda, Darlene, Cynthia, and Michael Beason, and Gloria Irving.
