Moline, Illinois Charles V. "Mr. Charles" Meyer, 85, of Moline, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. Services are 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the funeral at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arrowhead Ranch. Charles Valdimir Meyer was born April 16, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Charles Henry and Ethel (Hackett) Meyer. He was a hairdresser in Moline for over 50 years, last working as a beautician and hairdresser at the former Galejeans Beauty Salon in Moline. He previously worked at the former New York Store, M. L. Parker's, Black and Kuhl, and Radcliffe's, where he was known as "Mr. Charles." He had been a member of Moline Hairdressers Association Unit #4. Charles is survived by very close friends, Dorothy Benson of Moline, and Jim and Diane Benson of East Moline; special caregivers, Barb, Darcy, and Susan; special friends, Don and Norma Mullins, Carol Harris, and Cindy Moore; neighbors, Dave, Ed, and Marilyn; and dear friends at Shear Encounter and Michele's Beauty Salon.
