Charles Stier, 61, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 29, 2010, in Trinity Rock Island.
Graveside Services are 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2010, at Rock Island National Cemetery, where the Moline American Legion Post 246 will present military honors. Those wishing to attend are invited to meet at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, by 10:45 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.Friday, January 7, 2010, at the Friends Circle Club in Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Charles Fuller was born August 7, 1949, the son of Charles and Sally (Walton) Fuller. He was raised by his mother and Burdette Stier. He served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War. He married Lisa Husar on September 6, 1980, in Rock Island.
He worked for Nichols Aluminum in Davenport as an electrician for over 20 years. He enjoyed music, sports, and spending time with his family.
Charlie is survived by daughters and their significant others, Loretta Stier and Sean Rankin, and Lilly Stier and Nathan Gluck, a grandson, Anthony Gluck, all of Moline, and an uncle and his wife, Tom and Dorothy Walton, and his father, Burdette Steir of Peterson, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his mother.
