Charles M. Wilson, Jr.

Charles M. Wilson Jr., 86, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022, at Aspen Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Silvis, Illinois.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 28, 2022, from Noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, Illinois. A graveside service will be held following the visitation at Rock Island National Cemetery. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Charles Martin Wilson Jr. was born on February 24, 1936, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, the son of Charles and Mirza (Smith) Wilson. He served in the U.S. Army and married Barbara Mosher.

Charles worked at Swiss Valley for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, and spending time with family. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. He was also a member of The Conservation Club, and Foresters.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Wilson; four children, Chrisy Ohl, Russel Wilson, Hermie Wilson and Michael (Hillary) Wilson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchild; and his five siblings, Ronnie Wilson, Maurice Wilson, Rollie (Judy) Wilson, Kenny (Shirley) Wilson and Marvin (Kandy) Wilson. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Zinia Phillips and Frances Rolland.
