Catherine L. Williams, 73, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at River Crossing of Moline.

Burial is 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Rock Island National Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend should meet in the parking lot at Trimble Pointe, 701 12^th Street, Moline, at 10:45 a.m.  A memorial luncheon will follow at Franks Pizza in Silvis.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley.  Memorials may be made to the family for contribution to Niabi Zoo or QC Paws.

The former Catherine Louise Clark was born August 9, 1949, in Lexington, Virginia, the daughter of Roy A. and Fannie M. (Clark) Clark.  She married Vernon Lee Williams on February 27, 1965, in Buena Vista, Virginia.  They spent 54 years together.

She enjoyed racing, animals, puzzles, pictures, flowers, angels, and gospel music.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Catherine, especially her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, as well as her dog, Bucky, and cat, Reign.

Catherine is survived by four children, Sonya Clark of Silvis, Illinois, Rick Williams of Milan, Illinois, Chris (Beth Wilkinson) Williams of Davenport, Iowa, and Mark (Kari) Williams of Cambridge, Illinois; grandchildren, Cassie Clark, Andrea and Ashley Coyne, Jacob Williams, Allie Graham, Olivia, Sarah, and C.J. Williams, Paiton, Ben, and Pixie Williams, and Gannon Koozer; great-grandchildren, Braelynn, Brady, and Bennett Cather, Haizley and Haylen Coyne, Lacey Graham, and Ben Williams, Jr.; her sister, Peggy Dorey of Buena Vista; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Jay Clark.

The family would like to thank her ProMedica Hospice team, especially Shelby, Stephanie and Velvet.
