Sandy Bernauer

Cassandra L. “Sandy” Bernauer, 54, of Davenport, Iowa, died Friday, July 12, 2024, at Harmony on Locust, Davenport.

Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

Born on January 26, 1970, in Moline, Illinois, she carried the spirit of her birthplace throughout her life.

Sandy was a dedicated mother and grandmother, who faced life's challenges with unwavering determination. Despite numerous obstacles, she ensured her family always had a roof over their heads. 

Sandy was the beloved assistant manager at Kwik Shop, where her hardworking and spirited nature made her a favorite among both staff and customers.

Her hobbies included coloring, reading, and keeping up with her favorite soap opera, "Days of Our Lives." Sandy's love for life extended to her enjoyment of cookouts, which she hosted frequently, cherishing the moments spent surrounded by family and friends. Her love for purses, rings, and her dog Nikki were well known among her loved ones.

Sandy is survived by her husband George (Danny), and her children, Whitney Taulbee, Dorey Colbrese, James Miller, Lann Bacon, Kassie Bacon, Christina Bacon, Elizabeth Speaker, Geo Bernauer, Midanney Bernauer, Caje Bernauer, Jordan Bernauer, Antonio Bernauer, and Bella Bernauer; her many grandchildren; mother, Brenda Mazzarollo; sister, Doreen; brother, Mitchell; and many nieces and nephews.
