"Casey" George

Lester ?Casey? George, 95, of Knoxville, Illinois, formerly of Moline, Coal Valley, and Galesburg, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Knoxville.
There will be no public services. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is assisting the family.
Lester Parrish George was born July 8, 1912, in West Jersey, Illinois, the son of Grover and Mary (Parrish) George. He married Gladys Landon on July 10, 1943. She died November 26, 1984.
Lester worked for Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg as an iron worker for over twenty years, retiring in 1972.
He enjoyed fishing and camping, and was a member of the Knox County Sportsmans Club.
Mr. George is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Joan Lund of San Antonio, Texas, and Michael and Mary George of Altona, Illinois; two daughters, Alice Williamson and Mary Creighton, both of Abington, Illinois, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, a brother and sister-in-law, Oliver Eugene and Joyce George of Florida, and a sister and brother-in-law, Wilberta and Samuel Powell of Knoxville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara DeJaynes, two brothers, and two sisters.
