Carolyn Parker, 91, of Moline, Illinois, died Monday, April 15, 2024, at Allure of the Quad Cities, Moline.

Private burial is in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg, Illinois.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.

The former Carolyn Hamline was born February 17, 1933, in East Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Mary (Evans) Hamline.  She married William A. “Bill” Parker in 1980 in Rock Island, Illinois.   He died July 5, 2008.  Previously she had been married to Harold Bramlett, Sr., and from that union came four beloved children.

After raising her children, she was an office manager for many years.  She also loved traveling, especially as a team truck driver alongside her husband, Bill.

Carolyn was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed her time at the YMCA with the other “swim ladies”.  Above all else, family was the most important thing to Carolyn, and she will always be remembered for making sure everyone was well fed when they came to visit.

She is survived by four children, Lynn (Richard) Royall of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Pamela (Paul) Reynolds of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Patty Janecek of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Harold (Rita) Bramlett, Jr. of Moline; grandchildren, Michael (Pamela) McLaren, Christina (Seth) Runkle, Craig (Sheila) Janecek, Lisa (Ryan) West, Dennis Bramlett, and Jessica (Will) Rahn; great-grandchildren, William and Kegan McLaren, Ethan and Audrey Wilkins, Grace and Natalie Janecek, Andrew West, and Hayley, Emma, James and Madison Rahn; great-great-grandsons, Zaiden and Saige; her sister-in-law, Jean Hamline of East Galesburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill; a son-in-law, Mark Janecek; and brothers, Roy Jr., Irvin, and Bob Hamline.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staffs at Allure of the Quad Cities and Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care.
