Carolyn A. Littig

Carolyn Littig, 78, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, January 31, 2022, at home.

Services are 2:30 p.m. Saturday, February 5, at Trimble Funeral Home, Coal Valley. Visitation is 1:00 until the time of service. Private burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The former Carolyn Ann Hoesman was born September 30, 1943, in Jacksonville, Illinois, the daughter of Glyod and Melba (Huston) Hoesman. She graduated from North Green High School in Whitehall, Illinois. She married Donald Christison, Sr., with whom she had a son, Donald Christison, Jr. She later married Demetrius “Dee” Holland and Robert Tittsworth. She then married Duane Littig on July 3, 2013, in Rock Island, Illinois.

Carolyn worked at Griggs Music for over 20 years and was a partner for 10 years. She was a member of the Colona Lions Club and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband, Duane; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Jennifer Christison, Jr. of Moline; step-children, Kim Justice, Julie Barber, DeEtte Howell, Tim Tittsworth, Jimmy Dale Tittsworth, Brenda Brown, Mike Tittsworth, and step-daughter-in-law, Sandy Littig; grandchildren, Tyler Christison, Kaleb Mota, Heather Milburn, Colton Littig, and Matthew Littig; and a brother and sister-in-law, William and Judy Hoesman of Whitehall. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; and a stepson, Dion Littig.
