Carole Maske, 73, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 2, 2013, in her home.
Private services are Thursday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with Rev. Michael Schaab officiating. Memorials may be made to Animal Aid Humane Society, Moline.
The former Carole Louise Byrd was born February 10, 1940, in Joliet, Illinois, to Fred and Olive Hogreff Byrd. She married Lewis Maske on March 21, 1959, in Joliet. She was a contract specialist at the Rock Island Arsenal for 25 years, retiring in 1990. Carol was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rock Island, and Blackhawk Hiking Club. She enjoyed golf, gardening, bird-watching, and bowling, and was an active donor and volunteer for the Mississippi Valley Blood Center
Carol is survived by her daughter, Pamela Wyant; granddaughters, Ashley Fairweather, Kae Leigh Wyant, and Olivia Louise Wyant; and her former husband and close friend, Lewis Maske, all of Moline
