Carol Kelley Phillips, 74, of Moline, Illinois, died Friday, March 8. 2013, in her home.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.
The former Carol Jean Kelley was born June 12, 1938, in Manchester, Iowa, to Junior George and Mildred Fowler Kelley. She married George Arlan Fox in 1959, and later married Ronald Gary Phillips in 1969. She was employed at Deere and Company for 42 years, retiring as specifications analyst in 1998, and did contract work for Deere following her retirement.
She volunteered at Meals on Wheels for several years, and enjoyed fishing, gardening, slot machines, morel mushroom hunting, sewing, painting, calligraphy, and genealogy.
Carol is survived by four children and their spouses, Colleen and William McManamon of Moline, Chris and Mary Fox of Lebanon, Missouri, Cindy and Brian Reuther of Milan, Illinois, and Melanie and Matt Wassenhove of Moline; seven grandchildren, Christopher Fox Jr. and his wife Lesley, Heidi, Adam, and Holly Fox, Derrick Reuther and his wife Heather, and Xander and Danielle Wassenhove; three great-grandchildren; and two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Allen and Ruth Kelley of Rock Island, Kurtis and Sharon Kelley of Silvis, Illinois, Shirley Kelley of Moline, and Jane Kelley of Silvis. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Annette Hogan, and Douglas and Virgil Kelley.
