Carol J. Black, 74, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Hope Creek Care Center, Moline.
Graveside are 1:00 p.m. Friday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should meet at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe at 12:45 p.m. Cremation has taken place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.
The former Carol Jean Morey was born December 20, 1942, in Moline, the daughter of Walter and Phyllis (Schmoll) Morey. She married Quincy Black on January 8, 1966, in Waukegan, Illinois. He died June 7, 2006.
She loved to crochet and was very talented.
Carol is survived by a son, Darrell Edmonds of Rock Island; a grandson, Darrell Edmonds, Jr.; two sisters, Merry Shick, and Julie (Robert) Rowe, all of Moline; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Dennis Edmonds.
