Carol J. Berberich, 73, of Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at Davenport Memorial Park. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
The former Carol Jean Sarver was born June 7, 1943, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Melvin and Virginia (LaFayette) Sarver. She married Edward Berberich on June 14, 1986, in Williston, Florida.
She worked in office support and sales for many companies over the years, including Chicago Cutlery and Farmhouse Foods locally. She was a talented painter, and also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved working in her garden and was an avid reader. Family was also a very important to her.
Carol is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ed; children, Brian (Debbie) Hartz of Clinton, Iowa, Robert Hartz of Long Grove, Iowa, Kristine (Bob) Spencer of Bettendorf, Iowa, Edward J. Berberich, Jr. of Greenville, Tennessee, John (Ginger) Berberich of Orlando, Florida, Cheryl Beck of Clinton, Tennessee, and Janet (James) Peterson of Barrington, Illinois; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Terry (Sheila) Sarver of Golden, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents.
