Carol A. Solomon

Carol A. Solomon, 76, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Monday, September 12, 2016, in Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, Illinois.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 First Street, Coal Valley. Burial is in Western Township Cemetery, Orion, Illinois. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan.

The former Carol Ann Britton was born June 11, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Geneva Lee (Cox) Britton and John Frederick Britton. She married Raymond Lee Solomon on April 26, 1957, in Rock Island. He died August 10, 2000.

Carol is survived by her children, Trina Sweet of Alameda, California, and Tracy Solomon of Coal Valley; and grandchildren, Cole Solomon and Maria Solomon. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, John Britton.
