Carlos Arnold, 83, of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in his daughter’s residence in Coal Valley, Illinois, surrounded by his family.
Graveside Services are 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
Carlos Edward Arnold was born May 19, 1927, in Carrollton, Missouri, the son of William and Margaret (Steele) Arnold. He served proudly in the United States Army during World War II as a Military Policeman. He married Anne Stergion on February 9, 1962.
He was a member and Elder at Seventh Day Adventist Church, Moline. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Anne, daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Brett Weckerly of Waterloo, Wisconsin, and Jane and Dave Estes of Coal Valley, a granddaughter, Jessica Estes, and a grandson, Cody Dennis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Gene Arnold.
