Carl was born January 11, 1930, in Luverne, Minnesota, the son of Henry and Mildred (Alsman) Schneekloth. He married Audrey Hicks, with whom he had two children. He later married Linda Martin on July 2, 1964, in Silvis, Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard for three years, and was a tool and die maker at John Deere.
Carl was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, Moline, and was an avid sports fan, specifically the Moline Maroons and Chicago Cubs. He truly never met a stranger, and he loved to talk to anyone, and thus had many friends. He was also proud to be an active member of the Camden Serenity Group of AA.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; three children, Steven Schneekloth of Milan, Tammy and Chris Cox of Moline, and Gina Rouse of Rock Island; grandchildren, Renee Rohden and Tone Walker, Ashley Hayes, Jacob Schneekloth, Emma Schneekloth, Mallory Bowling, Hayley Bowling, and Savanah Rouse; great-grandchildren Madelynn, Zaydyn, Daxtyn, Skylynn, and Alucia; a sister, Mary Sandler of Moline; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Susan Schneekloth; a sister, Joan Canfield; a brother, Dennis Schneekloth; and his aunt and uncle, Anne and Ray Sayer, who were like his second parents.
