Howard W. ?Bud? Johnson, 86, of Moline, Illinois, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, Illinois.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, is entrusted with arrangements.
Howard was born December 10, 1921, in East Moline, Illinois, the son of William and Edith (Swanson) Johnson. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II, and was employed at John Deere Plow Works. He belonged to the East End Club and enjoyed bowling.
Howard is survived by his sister, Evelyn Benell of Moline; his wife, Nina Johnson and a step-daughter, Carol Woods, both of Davenport, Iowa; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by a sister, Harriet Carlson.
