Brigitta Carter

Brigitta Carter, 89, of Skokie, Illinois, formerly of East Moline, Illinois, died Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Endeavor Health Highland Park Hospital, in Highland Park, Illinois.

Services are 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Immediately following services, burial will take place at Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025, at the Funeral Home. 

Brigitta was born on November 23, 1935, in Germany, the daughter of Anton and Augusta (Birl) Pfeiffer. She married Roger Earl Carter on February 17, 1961, in Karlsruhe, Germany. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis, Illinois. Brigitta was a remarkable woman whose spirit touched the hearts of everyone she met.

A devoted homemaker, Brigitta dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for her family. Though she worked at various times in the restaurant and cleaning industries, her greatest joy came from creating a loving home for her husband and daughter. Brigitta's warmth, kindness, and sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Brigitta is survived by her daughter, Andrea (Mark Mayszak) Carter; her grandson, Joshua (Kiara) Carter; and great-granddaughter, Aliana. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and aunt, Fransiska Bauer.
