Brenda Jones, 54, of Silvis, Illinois, formerly of Moline, left this earth to celebrate her birthday with her family in heaven on Monday, May 4, 2009, in Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Services are 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with the Reverend Mark Baker of Berean Baptist Church, Davenport, officiating. Visitation is two hours prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Brenda Sue Henderson was born May 4, 1955, in Moline, the daughter of Harvey and Barbara (Halferty) Henderson.
Brenda enjoyed poetry, music, and reading. She was a loving mother and grandmother who never met a stranger. She had compassion for everyone, while having a wonderful sense of humor.
Brenda is survived by a daughter, Shawna (Justin) Kupperschmid of Port Byron, a brother, Harvey ?Al? (Ginger Rossell) Henderson of Coal Valley, a sister, Alice (Pat) Versluis of Moline, a foster-daughter, Suze Gariby of Rock Island, grandsons, Dakota, Jacob, and Bryan Proehl, and Charles and Danny Switzer, and Junior Gariby, and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Pam Henderson, and a granddaughter, Rosalind Jones.
