Brenda Lea Esparza

Brenda L. Esparza, 61, of Princeton, Iowa, died Sunday, August 25, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Bettendorf, Bettendorf, Iowa. 

"Damma," as her grandkids would call her, or "Mama Bear Brenda" by her kids and their friends, was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. 

A LeClaire born and raised and Pleasant Valley social butterfly spent her early years babysitting, cleaning, being a nursing home care giver, being an Oscar Meyer packer, and an air bnb manager. She was an extremely vibrant, strong-willed woman who would do anything for the ones she loved. She spent her days with her grandbabies watching her girls (call of the midwife) and putting her green thumb to use, or she was thrift shopping. 

Preceded in death were grandparents Randolph, Bowers, Aunts, and Uncles. Sadly leaving behind her husband Carlos Esparza, her parents Merle Bowers and Mary Bowers, her siblings Steve Bowers, Joe Bowers, and Liz Bowers, and her 3 kids Jake Mackey (Sarah), Jared Esparza (Jessica), Brenna Esparza-Harrison (Matthew), and her beautiful grandbabies Kiya, Oliver Mackey, Brenley Harrison, Briley Harrison, and Hyland Esparza. 

She will be forever missed and cherished. Our angel gained her wings way too soon.
