Brandon J. Weeks, 38, of Rock Island, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in his sleep Thursday, November 7, 2024.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 15, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for his son, Kallen.
Brandon Joseph Weeks was born on January 4, 1986, in Rock Island, the son of Charles “David” Howe and Pamela Weeks. He was a proud father, loving son, devoted partner, and talented artist whose creativity knew no bounds. Together, Brandon and his long-time significant other, Taegan Kallenbach, raised their son, Kallen Weeks, who was Brandon’s greatest pride and joy.
A gifted tattoo artist, Brandon worked most recently at O’Tool Design Custom Tattoo in Rock Island, where he was known for his skill and attention to detail. Previously, he had worked at Garden City Tattoo in East Moline. Beyond tattoos, Brandon was an accomplished painter and muralist, with his art displayed at several notable local venues including the Figge Art Museum, the Botanical Center, and Denkmann Elementary School. He even brought his art to the unlikeliest of places—painting a customer’s chicken coop as part of his creative endeavors.
In addition to his artistry, Brandon had a passion for working on his cherished 1983 orange Silverado truck. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and the St. Louis Cardinals.
Brandon’s unexpected passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His family, friends, and community will remember him for his artistic spirit, devotion to his loved ones, and his deep love for life.
Brandon is survived by the love of his life, Taegan Kallenbach, and their son, Kallen Weeks, of Rock Island; his parents, David and Pamela Howe of Rock Island; his sister and brother-in-law, Maranda and Sherman Russell of Rock Island; his nephew and niece, Austin Fisher and Naomi Russell; his beloved dog, Karma; and a host of people that loved Brandon and called him “friend”, “brother”, “uncle”, and “son”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his “brother”, Dustin Behrens; and his loving dogs, Buddah and Rasta.
