Bobby D. Driskill

Bobby D. Driskill, 56, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Iowa City VA Health Care.

A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, at Gunchie’s in Davenport.  Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, under the direction of Trimble Funeral Home.  Private burial is in Sunshine Cemetery, Roff, Oklahoma.

Bobby Dean Driskill was born December 22, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, the son of Lane Barry and Janet Christine (Painter) Driskill.  He married Stephanie Meador, with whom he had his beloved children before the couple separated.

He served in the U.S. Army and loved being a soldier.  He loved working on cars, reading, being outside, and doing crossword puzzles in pen.

Bobby is survived by four children, John (Nadirah) Meador of Lubbock, Texas, Cherish (Jacob) Chavez of Langley AFB, Virginia, Alexander Driskill of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and BriAnna Driskill of Plainview, Texas; grandchildren, Dean Meador, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Ryland, and Remington Chavez, Willow Driskill, Cherish Serna, and Athena and Aletheia Hinojosa; siblings, Keith Cady, Candy (Randy) Gray, and Karen (Gary Hanson) Clark; and a special friend, Jill Ripslinger.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby sister, Lisa Thompson.
