Nehemiah W. ?Bill? or ?Hank? Hankins, 78, of Milan, Illinois, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Services are 1 p.m. Monday at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice.
He was born February 2, 1930, in Jamestown, New York. He married Dorothy J. Stapleton on October 19, 1957, in Merced, California.
He retired from the U. S. Air Force after 21 years of service in the Occupation of Japan, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Timothy, Brian and his wife Susan, Gary, Doreen, and Patrick; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
