Beverly A. Olson, 82, of Davenport, Iowa, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at home.
A gathering to celebrate Beverly’s life is 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in the basement at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1923 Fillmore St., Davenport, Iowa. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline, Illinois, under the direction of Cremation Society of the Quad Cities.
The former Beverly Ann Boarman was born on March 10, 1942, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Norbert and Elizabeth (Greenwell) Boarman. She married the love of her life, Gene Raymond Olson, on October 19, 1963. They shared many wonderful years together before his passing on November 13, 2011.
Beverly dedicated much of her life to caring for children, running an in-home daycare where she formed lasting bonds with the children and their families. In later years, she enjoyed her time working at Walmart, where she made many friends. She was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Davenport.
An avid reader, Beverly found great joy in books and occasionally trying her luck at the casino. However, above all else, family was the most important part of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.
She is survived by four children, Jeffrey (Theresa) Olson of Seminole, Florida, Becky (Brian) Heckert of Davenport, Jonathan Olson of Davenport, and Charlie Olson of Davenport; two grandsons, Gavin Olson and Augustus Olson; and siblings, Margaret Boarman, Mary Jo Kaiser, Jeanne Kelly, and Reggie Boarman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Anthony Olson; and siblings, Victor Boarman, Joe Boarman, Ronnie Boarman, David Boarman, Paul Boarman, Doris Hansert, Millie Parmenter, and Eleanor Neth.
