Beverly J. Rusk, 90, of Silvis, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.
Visitation is 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Cremation will take place after services at Trimble Crematory. Memorials may be made to the Silvis Public Library.
The former Beverly Jean Potter was born November 12, 1930, in Moline, the daughter of Raymond and Ruby (Miller) Potter. She married Donald Wingert in 1951, and the couple had three children before divorcing. She married Edward Rusk on December 19, 1981.
Beverly was Deputy Clerk for the Rock Island County Courthouse for over 20 years, working for Ted Nelson, Richard Aubrey, and Henrietta Kenny. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed Nascar, especially Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott.
She is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 40 years, Edward Rusk; three children, Dennis Wingert of Hampton, Illinois, Cheryl (Bob Clark) Wingert of Moline, and Brian (Laura) Wingert of Moline; four grandchildren, Shoshanna Wingert of Davenport, Lexi Wingert of Cordova, Jeff (Iulia) Wingert of Ankeny, Iowa, and Brad Wingert of Hampton; and five great-grandchildren, including a special great-grandson, Owen Christy. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father, William “Skeeter” Miller; and siblings, David Potter and Mary Lindsay.
