Beverly A. Pond

Beverly A. Pond, 89, of Coal Valley, Illinois, released her spirit on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Mt. Vernon Countryside Manor, Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Visitation is 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Trimble Funeral Home, 1700 1st Street, Coal Valley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley, with Fr. Jim DeBisschop officiating. Friends are invited to join the family at a funeral luncheon in the church following the mass. Burial will follow the luncheon at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kewanee, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Women's Guild of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.

Beverly Ann Pond was born August 14, 1927, in Kewanee, to Edwin and Mary (Wilhemin) Keller. She married Jack R Pond on April 19, 1952, in Santa Barbara, California. She graduated from Kewanee High School in 1944, and attended Brown Business College in Peoria, Illinois. In her earlier years, Beverly worked for Kewanee Boiler Company and later worked for the U. S. government at Camp Cook. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, Coal Valley. Beverly enjoyed the group Crafty Critters. She enjoyed time with her children and grandchildren and being a homemaker. Beverly as well volunteered at Niabi Zoo with Kathy Sh-Boom.

Beverly is survived by seven children and their spouses, Gary and Deborah Pond, Gloria Farrar, Mark and Charla Pond, Marilyn and Tim Andriesen, Brian and Maria Pond, Bruce and Georgia Pond, and Michael and Lauren Pond; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Herzberg; and many niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson and several siblings.
