Betty Jane Douglas 86, of Coal Valley, Illinois, died Saturday, September 9, 2006, in Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island, Illinois.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Coal Valley, with The Reverend Jim Grieme officiating. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
The former Betty Jane McClean was born August 2, 1920, in Quincy, Illinois, the daughter of Ray and Hazel (Cray) McClean. She married John E. ?Jack? Douglas on December 13, 1945, in Sherrard, Illinois. She was employed at Servus Rubber Company, Rock Island, for many years. She loved her husband of over 60 years, and enjoyed shopping and being with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband, Jack; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty McClean, and a sister, Alvina Kaltenbach, all of Quincy, Illinois. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, Cecil, Ray Jr., and Don McClean, and sisters, Faye Roselle, Jewell BeDuhn, and Marian Miller.
