Betty Ann Layman

Betty Ann Layman, 60, of Rock Island, died, February 15, 2005, at her residence. Services are 10:30 a.m., Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Visitation is Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, on the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials my be made to Trinity VNA Pathway Hospice. The former Betty Ann Stilwell was born January 12, 1945, in Pearl, Illinois the daughter of Wilbur and Lela (Schlieper) Stilwell. She married John Richard Layman, Sr. August 1, 1964, in Palmyra, Missouri. Survivors include, four children and spouses, JoAnn and Guadalupe "Chauch" Medina, Rock Island, Lena and Curtis Nichols, Matherville, Marian and Jim Comins, Silvis, and John and Jennifer Layman, Jr, Moline, twelve grandchildren, Andria, Tiffany, Rick, Shannon, Drew, James Robert, Kyle, Kurt, Mishel, Savannah, Rose Marie, John Clifford "Bubba", a great-grandaughter, Alexys, three sisters, Dorothy and Bill King, Geneseo, Joyce Bjork, Rock Island, Virginia and Edward Kain, Rock Island, two brothers, Russ and Gloria Stilwell, and Dale and Lee Stilwell, both of Colona, along with special friends, Pequita and James Richardson, Rock Island, she was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Danny Stilwell.
