Bertie B. Rudiger

Bertie B. Rudiger, 91, of Moline, Illinois, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, at home.

Services are 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with The Reverend Scott Carlson officiating. Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, Moline, where she was a member.

The former Bertie Beatrice Gooch was born May 27, 1924, in Browning, Missouri, the daughter of Forrest and Isabel (Haley) Gooch. She married Charles Rudiger on September 19, 1945, in Spring Valley, Illinois.

She did a lot of volunteer work, especially at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and baking.

Bertie is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Charles, of Moline, a son, Charles A. Rudiger, Jr. of Moline, and a daughter, Roberta L. Rudiger of Moline. She was preceded in death by brothers, James and Dayle Gooch.
