Bernice H. Studer, 96, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Bettendorf Health Care Center, Bettendorf, Iowa.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline, with The Reverend Dr. Joe Gardner officiating. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is one hour before the services. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
The former Bernice Helen Swanson was born July 23, 1917, in Moline, to David G. and Verna Titus Swanson. She graduated from Moline High School, and married Levi A. Forsberg in 1936, in Moline. He died in 1943. She married Larry A. Studer in 1945, in Moline. He died in 1977. She assisted her husband in Larry Studer and Company Hospital and Medical Supplies in Moline, and previously worked at International Harvester Farmall Works, Rock Island.
Bernice was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline, United Methodist Women of the church, and was a founding member of Honor Bright Circle of King's Daughters. She loved watching NBA Basketball, and did needlework and ceramics in earlier years.
Bernice is survived by her son, Ronald Forsberg of Jerome, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husbands and sisters, Bessie Nichols, Dorothy Miller, and Arlene Weatherhead.
