Berneice J. Mohlenbruck

Rock Island, Illinois Berneice J. Mohlenbruck, 76, of Rock Island, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004, in her home. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Burial is in Drury-Reynolds Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to a scholarship fund which will be established in her name. The former Berneice Kleist was born November 10, 1927, in Drury Township, Rock Island County, Illinois, the daughter of Carl F. and Hazel (Krueger) Kleist. She was an elementary teacher at William Carr and Willard Schools in Moline for 21 years, retiring in 1990. She previously taught in Warren and Mercer Counties. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Rock Island, Woman's Club of Rock Island, and Blackhawk and Illinois Retired Teachers Associations, and was a Red Cross Volunteer. Berneice is survived by a daughter, Dwineice Mohlenbruck of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by two children in infancy.
