Ben E. Ralston

Ben E. Ralston, 76, of Rock Island, Illinois, died Sunday, July 28, 2024 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, with military honors conducted by the Vietnam Veterans of America.

Ben Eddie Ralston was born Jun 14, 1948, in Arkansas, the son of Sam and Mae Ralston. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and went on to work for John Deere Harvester for over 30 years until retiring.

Ben enjoyed watching cowboy movies, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and traveling.

He is survived by his five children, Benjamin Ralston of Rock Island, Alton Ralston of Des Moines, Iowa, Brian Ralston of Dubuque, Iowa, Jacquaous Ralston of Milwaukee, and Nina Allen of Milwaukee; his girlfriend, Betty Walker; siblings, Florine James, Jerline Jackson, Elsie Patterson, Sammie Ralston, and Bonnie Nesbit; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and five siblings.
