Services for Beatrice G. Asmus, 88, of Moline, are 10:30 a.m. Friday at First United Presbyterian Church, Moline. The Reverend Edward Boryzc will officiate. Burial is in Rose Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Trimble Funeral Home, Moline. Memorials may be made to the church, where she was a member.

Mrs. Asmus died Sunday, February 23, 2003, in Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport, Iowa.

The former Beatrice Glyde Pollock was born March 25, 1914, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Walter L. and Mayme (Cattell) Pollock. She married Harris G. Asmus on June 12, 1937, in Moline. He died November 23, 1962. She was secretary at First United Presbyterian Church, Moline, for 35 years, retiring in 1985. In addition to the church, she was a member of Christian Women's Club, Silver Lining Circle of King's Daughters, Quad City Organ Club, and Quad City Church Secretaries Association, and did volunteer work with Christian Friendliness Association.

Beatrice is survived by three children and spouses, Connie M. Palmer of Knoxville, Tennessee, Loralee and Roger Schultz of Senatobia, Mississippi, and Keith and Carol Asmus of Davenport, Iowa; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Evelyn Minteer of East Moline; and a brother, Rev.
