Barbara J. Wirtjes-Sullivan

Barbara J. Wirtjes-Sullivan, 57, of Hampton , Illinois, died Thursday, July 2, 2015, in her home.

Private family services will be held. Cremation will take place at Trimble Crematory, Moline. Memorials may be made to QC Paws. Trimble Funeral Home, Moline, is serving the family.

The former Barbara Jo Wingerter was born September 16, 1957, in Davenport, Iowa, to Douglas D. and Frances VanHoosier Wingerter. She married Larry Wirtjes in 1978 and they were later divorced. She married John Sullivan in 1994, and he died in 2008. She was a custodian at Custom Pak in DeWitt, Iowa, and previously worked for Davenport public schools. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, was devoted to her dogs, Bella and Charlie, and enjoyed gardening and crafts.

Barbara is survived by three children and spouses, Stephanie and Mark White of Hampton, Steven and Jennifer Wirtjes of Davenport, and Susan and Aaron Osborn of Buffalo, Iowa; five grandchildren; her father, Doug Wingerter of Davenport; and siblings, Richard Wingerter of Davenport, and Rita Schnoor and her husband Greg of Inver Grove, Minnesota. She was preceded in death by her mother.
