Barbara E. Fawks

Barbara E. Fawks, 78, formerly of Moline, Illinois, died Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at Lake Gibson Village, Lakeland, Florida.

Services are 1 p.m. Monday, November 2, in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline, with Rev. Peter Bredlau officiating. The family will receive friends at a hospitality visitation with food and refreshments before the service from noon to funeral time. Masks and social distancing requirements will be enforced. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.

The former Barbara Eugene Chapman was born July 14, 1942, in Mt. Sterling, Illinois, the daughter of Bernard and Helen (Davis) Chapman. She married David Fawks on March 18, 1977, in East Moline, Illinois. She worked as a technical writer on the Rock Island Arsenal for 7 ½ years. She enjoyed reading and crafts.

Barbara is survived by her children, Douglas (Tamara) Lofgren of Lakeland, Florida and Michael (Vicki) Lofgren of East Moline, Illinois; David (Leslie) Fawks of Sarasota, Florida, Ronald (Staci) Fawks of Calera, Alabama, Daniel (Michelle) Fawks of Clanton, Alabama, Leonora (Benjamin) Gabbard of Wesley Chapel, Florida; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Sandra (Eric) Henriksen of New Berlin, Wisconsin.
