Barbara Bea Temple, 82, formerly of Rapids City, Illinois, died Tuesday, January 3, 2017, in Rosewood Care Center, Moline, Illinois.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday in the Horizon Room at Trimble Funeral Home at Trimble Pointe, 701 12th Street, Moline. Burial is in Coal Valley Cemetery. Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes or Kidney Foundations.
The former Barbara Bea Nitz was born April 1, 1934, in Hillsdale, Illinois, to Herman and Jessie Farrow Nitz. She married Clifford Eugene Temple on October 16, 1954, in Joslin, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2002. She had been employed by US Steel Supply and John Deere. She enjoyed making dolls and fleece blankets, doing crafts and knitting, and loved collecting Precious Moments, birdwatching and scrapbooking.
Barbara is survived by four children and spouses, Dianna Jefferson of East Moline, Deborah Delf of Castle Rock, Colorado, Richard and Vera Temple of Moline, and Denise and Pat Lang of Odessa, Missouri; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Evers, Ida Nitz, and Joyce Nitz. She was preceded in death by her husband and 11 siblings.
