Gwendolyn B. Hotchkiss, 89, of Moline, Illinois, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, in Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Celebration of Life Chapel at Trimble Funeral and Cremation Center, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
The former Gwendolyn Blanche Stratman was born February 11, 1918, in Aledo, Illinois, the daughter of William and Blanche (Greer) Stratman. She married Harold Hotchkiss on June 23, 1939, in Rock Island. He died October 12, 1983. She was a baker at John Deere Administrative Center for over 25 years, retiring in 1991. She enjoyed traveling throughout the world and being with her grandchildren.
Gwendolyn is survived by three sons and their spouses, David and Donna Hotchkiss of Eldridge, Iowa, Ronald and Gail Hotchkiss of Milan, and Steven and Kathy Hotchkiss of Moline; seven grandchildren and spouses, Amy and Steve Ellis, Sarah and Scott Rabenold, Daniel and Erika Hotchkiss, Ronald and Mary Hotchkiss, Marcya and Jerry Shook, Darcy Hotchkiss and Mark Hotchkiss; four step-grandchildren, Jerry Sweet, Robyn and Marcus Kofoot, Kelly Hill, and Kyle Hill; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
